The DIA Approved Marine and Science, Space Courses have been designed to raise awareness among operators to deal with dangerous situations resulting from environmental pollution, accidents, the use of technologies and equipment.
For pollution, various safety aspects were considered such as the areas in which operators are involved (estuaries, coasts, rivers and lakes) and the type of pollution; for the accidents, various threats deriving from both the underwater or zero-gravity environment (space modules, open spaces, training facilities) and surface areas (land, vessels) were identified; for the use of technologies and equipment, methods and behaviors have been created for safe and efficient use.
